I am a digital creative. While the bulk of my experience is in video, I have professional experience in developing websites (both design and coding), photography, graphic design, motion graphics, and copywriting. This was not always so. My path coming out of college (Political Science and Creative Writing majors, minor in Computer Science) was headed straight towards Data–my first job was as an analyst for a public opinion research firm. My job was to design qualitative and quantitative research projects and then analyze and submit reports to our clients that ranged from Congressional candidates to think tanks and policy advocates. While it was a reasonable use of my skills coming out of college, I found that my true passion was more creative. This led to a couple years as a freelance creative, teaching myself skills like photography, video editing and motion graphics and finally resulted in opening a digital production company, Vitamin Productions, with two other partners.
It was an ambitious move to be sure, being self-taught in many of the disciplines I was working in, but between the three of us we successfully started Vitamin. Our clients included Skype, Harley Davidson, Airbnb, Toyota, DJI, and Imperva (to name a few). Vitamin also helped me produce my debut documentary as a director and producer p.g.a that was acquired by WarnerMedia for HBOMax. Unfortunately, we had to close our doors in 2020 due to Covid-19, but I view my time as a founder and partner of Vitamin as a sort of mixture of an M.B.A, M.F.A and film school. I now have 10 years of video production and broader creative experience to draw upon at the highest levels, which I eagerly bring to all new endeavors.
